    Yong-Xi Zhao is a professor in the School of Life Science and Technology, Xi’an Jiaotong University. He is selected as a Young Scholar of the Yangtze River Scholars Program by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China in 2018. He is also supported by the program of “Shannxi Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars” and the “Young Talent Support Plan” of Xi’an Jiaotong University. His current research is focused on high-throughput single-molecule and single-cell analysis, nucleic acid chemistry and biology, functional nanomaterials and molecular probes, etc. He hosts several research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Until now, he has published many research articles in the international authoritative journals, such as Chemical Reviews (IF 52.613), Angewandte Chemie International Edition (IF 12.102), ACS Nano (IF 13.709), Advanced Functional Materials (IF 13.325), Chemical Science (IF 9.063), Analytical Chemistry (IF 6.042), etc. He is now applying 14 invention patents and 7 items have been authorized. He has obtained the first prize from the China Analytical Testing Association Science and Technology (CAIA Award) in 2018. Meanwhile, he is also invited as a reviewer for several famous journals such as Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Advanced Energy Materials, Analytical Chemistry, etc.
