In view of the progress of the subject "A system of onboard technologies for inspecting marine environment", a new analytical instrumentation for the determination of humic acid and phenol jointed to the voyage analysis of marine pollutant again during March 13-20, 2013. Three staffs of our research group, Xiangnan Dou, Yongzan Zheng and Weifei Zhang attended the discussion meeting and successfully finished the voyage analysis on the ship.

During the discussion meetng, Xiangnan Dou introduced the our automatic instrumentation which can be used to determine volatile phenol and CDOM in sea water based on the principle of chemiluminescence. She also compared notes with participants from different universities or institutes.

According the plan, Dou, Zheng and Zhang conducted the experimental voyage for a week. The concentrations of volatile phenol and CDOM in three different sea water layers of the Bohai Sea were analyzed. We also compared our data with other analytical station, the results are satisfactory which indicated that our machine is stable.
