The 18th Beijing Conference and Exhibition on Instrumental Analysis (BCEIA 2019) was held from 24th to 26th of October, 2019 at the National Convention Center, Beijing China. With the vision of “Analytical Science Creates Future”, the 18th Beijing Conference and Exhibition on Instrumental Analysis (BCEIA 2019) will continue to host academic conferences under the theme of “Moving towards a green future”, with the aim of addressing the demand of social development and working at the frontiers of science and technology.
The poster of doctoral student Wanling Zhang in our group, "In situ monitoring of fluid shear stress enhanced adherence of bacteria to cancer cells on microfluidic chip", was awarded to the excellent wall poster of this conference. This research designed a set of DNA probes to reveal microbial adhesion to cancer cells under fluid shear stress. When cells contact with bacteria in the fluid, the accumulation of proteins in the host cell membrane was enhanced, while the accumulation of carbohydrate and phospholipids decreases. This study not only reveals new mechanisms of cellular mechanical transduction, but also provides a general method for in situ and dynamically indicating the response of cells to mechanical stimuli.
